Kangaroo Hoppet

The Kangaroo Hoppet is Australia's premier long distance cross country ski race, and a member of the prestigious Worldloppet series of international cross country ski events. Worldloppet is a union of the most famous cross country ski races in the world attracting over 50,000 skiers annually. Worldloppet races are held each year in Austria, Italy, Germany, Japan, Canada, USA, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Norway, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia and Australia.

The Course:

Participants can choose one of three events, the 42km Kangaroo Hoppet, the 21km Australian Birkebeiner or the 7km Joey Hoppet.

The course starts and finishes in the Nordic Bowl at Falls Creek, and consists of three loops extending into the Alpine National Park:

7km         Sun Valley loop.

21km       Sun Valley loop, Heathy Spur loop.

42km       Sun Valley loop, Heathy Spur loop, Sun Valley loop, Pauls Track loop.
