The Alfred 6 Hour Charity Mountain Bike Race challenges individuals, pairs and teams to a three or six hour mountain bike endurance race on a 6.5 kilometre course through flowing single track and logging roads in the Bright Mountain Bike Park, just minutes from the CBD. 100 per cent of profits from the event will be donated to The Alfred Hospital.

The Alfred facilities assist many trauma patients return to a normal life after serious injury.

Through the Alfred Foundation this event has been lucky enough to be a part of The Great Alfred Bike Ride (GABR) which was started in 2012. The GABR is a week long ride taking in some of the most spectacular cycling terrain Victoria has to offer.

Participants in the ride commit to raising funds for The Alfred. A fantastic way to raise funds for the Alfred was an organised mountain bike event - thus The Alfred Six Hour was born.
