The best river frontage accommodation in the Bright area. Set on the banks of the tranquil Ovens River,at the foot of Mt Buffalo and only 8km from Bright. Our 10 fully self contained cottages are set in 3 acres of beautiful parkland, surrounded by mature deciduous and native trees with lawns to the rivers edge. Enjoy the ambience of this idyllic location, adjacent to the popular Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail and with two of the areas best wineries within walking distance.
Our clean spacious and well presented cottages provide comfortable accommodation for families, groups and couples.
All situated so that the natural beauty of our surroundings is always close at hand with magnificent views of the surrounding bush, the tranquil Ovens River or the grand cliffs of Mt Buffalo.
Catering for 34 guests when fully booked our spacious grounds are never crowded allowing you to experience the peaceful ambience of the gently flowing river and enjoy the sounds of the adjacent bush.
Summertime provides a cool and leafy retreat with 150 metres of private river frontage. Relax and swim in the cool clear water or cast a line and catch a rainbow trout.
Wildlife is a feature of Alpine Park with flocks of brilliantly coloured King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas and numerous other birds.
You may even see the shy Platypus in the river or an Echidna foraging in the garden.
All extra persons (including children and infants) will incur an additional surcharge each night.
Directions: From the Hume freeway take the Great Alpine Road from Wangaratta and Alpine Park is 21kms from the roundabout in Myrtleford.
From Bairnsdale on the Great Alpine Road we are 2.5kms from Porepunkah or 8 kms from Bright.
