Bright Brewery

Bright Brewery is located on the Great Alpine Road, right in the heart of Bright, overlooking the Ovens River.

We use fresh mountain water, quality ingredients and craft brewing techniques to brew our MountainCrafted beers. Embracing the purity of our setting our beer is brewed by hand, one batch at a time, unpasteurised and free from artificial preservatives.

Explore our beers and seasonal brews across our 24 taps; indulge in delicious beer-matched meals and local wines whilst watching the brewing action unfold right next to the bar.

Overlooking the river, parks and mountains, Bright Brewery is an ideal destination for a beer and a bite.

Relax with a flavoursome craft beer either outside on the Hop Terrace looking over the riverside parkland, or at the bar while keeping an eye on the brewing activity. Get comfy on one of the couches by the fire, and check your emails and social media using our Free WiFi Hotspot internet service (connect to the Internode wifi connection).

With plenty of parking for your bike, we are Cycle Friendly, as well as Family Friendly and Dog Friendly. Kids love the adjacent adventure playground.

Have an adventure choosing your favourite beers from our regular range and our ever-changing Brewer’s Choice beers.

There’s also Fairtrade Organic Coffee, hot chocolate, local wine and cider, and drinks for the kids.

With a fresh, seasonal menu and live music every Sunday, there are lots of reasons to visit.

The Ultimate Beer Lovers Experience

Brewer for a day!

The ultimate beer lovers’ experience!

Beer Lovers, Beer Nuts, Beer Curious – anyone who loves anything to do with beer – join our brewer for a hands-on day where you’ll brew a batch of Bright Brewery’s award-winning beer.

During our “Brewer For A Day” program you will brew a full commercial scale batch of beer from scratch.  The day starts with milling grain and ends with transferring a full 1300L of cool wort to a fermenter, and inoculating it with the yeast, which will over the next few days turn it into beer.  The day is entirely hands on; you’ll smell, touch and taste all the raw ingredients and learn about brewing history, processes and the science behind the art.

We limit the experience to very small group sizes so that we can tailor the day to suit your interests and experience.

Upcoming dates:

  • Friday 11th September: SOLD OUT
  • Friday 9th October
  • Friday 6th November
  • Friday 18th December
